I'm sooo glad my show is a inside venue,10,000 max for a sold out show.I want to get the full effect of the lighting and stage show..We are not on the floor, but we are in the first row in the lowest section to the side, best seats imo to get the full effect of concerts in HSBC Arena..But this one cost me..$250.00 us for those great seats, cant wait till 9/8..Plus its their 2nd show after a month break..So I hope the boys are full of energy :)

IMO what a horrible venue, the stadium was way to big,it was in the daylight??all the side seating was nosebleed sections, the only Fins that got a good show was the first few rows in the front..I would not be happy spending 450.00 on that show..Those people taking the utube clips had horrible seats..

Did Phil sing ANYTHING in the original key? The YouTube clips are pretty depressing.

I am liking what I am hearing so far. Doesn't seem like anything was lost in the lowered key. You know his voice isn't what it used to be, I don't find it depressing at all.

Exactly. Rush has to tune down a lot of their songs because Geddy Lee can't sing 'em as high as he used to, but hell, they still put on maybe the best show in rock n' roll (as they tour consistently).

Nothing's really lost with the tuning down. "No Son" sounds better, "Land of Confusion" sounded very cool, "Home By The Sea" was more haunting. They'll never be better than the previous Phil tours, but man was I worried about how it would sound before the tour. I'm very pleased by the result.

I saw Dylan last year and although I loved the show his voice is TOTALLY different from what is was.

No Son Of Mine
I Can’t Dance
Behind The Lines / Duke’s End

For a first post this is a pretty strange thing to say and I'm guessing you've never been to a gig before. By anyone.

The key of a studio recording is rarely maintained for a tour. For obvious reasons.

Even Peter Gabriel had to lower the key at the end of performances of "Supper's Ready" back in the early 70s. Like kitty said, it's very common, and (in my opinion) gives concerts a new feel, almost like something you've not quite heard before.

Scott W doesn't seem to think so and has (bewilderingly) sent me a PM to re-inforce that.

Scott, if you want to discuss it further, here's the ideal place to do it (hence no reply to the PM).

any Idea on the run time of the show??

Assuming the rehearsal length, plus a bit for Phil's stories, it's probably about 2:20, 2:25

I guess that's not too bad, but what happened to the 3 hour show length rumors that they talked about initially?

I don't know boys and girls I really like 12 out of the 16 tunes they are playing in europe,I hope they don't change the setlist for the worst for the american tour.I have tickets for buffalo ottawa connecticut and looking forward to all the driving as i live in syracuse, new york.My only gripe is why carpet crawlers as the last song????
I still say they should have a contest in each venue to have someone play the taborine part on i know what i like... :D
