If you have'nt already got these 2 volumes...go get them, the quality is AWESOME...

I have to say David, i have some of these tour programes myself and the quality on these is better than the real thing!!!!!!! :cool1:

Yes, indeed. Many programmes in 1970s were very cheaply made. I found so many print errors it's untrue - the graphic equivalent of removing thousands of pops and crackles from a scratched LP. Actually, more like one of those poorly made 'flexi-discs' you got free with a magazine.

And of course the programmes weren't meant to last, so scuffs, rips and creases were inevitable, especially on black where this shows up the worst. Black is also a big problem because it's never 'completely black', so, over time, it fades and creates irregular blueish, redish or greenish patches. The 1977 World Tour book was an absolute nightmare and I had return to the pages for many drafts.

Throw in some scanner light glaring off the shiny uneven surfaces at the centre-page folds (not to mention staple holes) and it becomes quite a task.

I've certainly learned that patience is a virtue!
